| Plot |
| Bandidas, starring Penelope Cruz and Sandra Bullock, is a fun and campy film about two Mexican women - one a common farmgirl and the other, a rich aristocrat - who set out on a thrilling adventure to avenge their fathers and the people of Mexico. Mexican people are being taken advantage of and stolen from, their land swiped from below their feet. The two Bandidas decide to do something about it by learning how to rob banks. Their mentor (Dwight Yoakam) teaches them all they need to know about how to pull off a bank robbery and starts them on their way to saving their land and families. Once enemies, the two women become fast friends and together find a third party to help in their feat. Steve Zahn plays a forensic specialist from New York. Originally out to stop the Bandidas, he becomes their ally. All three continue on together hoping to achieve the ultimate dream of freedom. |
