| Plot |
A fictional story inspired by North America's most famous female boxing promoter, Jackie Kallen. Her struggle to survive and succeed in a male dominated sport.
Small in stature but larger than life in personality and determination, Detroit's Jackie Kallen (Meg Ryan) managed boxers and shepherded many of them to victory in the ring. Her personal life was just as tantalizing; she left her husband for the sport and later became head of the International Female Boxers Association. Omar Epps plays a boxer who's supposedly a composite of three that Kallen helped make a success.
